On the 9th of february 2002 william young was crowned the winner of reality tv show Pop Idol with 41.5% of the overall votes. He beat fellow contestant Gareth Gates to win the show. Since that day he has toured with the pop idol gang, toured with gareth gates and zoe birkett. Performed to his fans on his concert hall tour, theatre tour and outdoor summer shows! He has a huge fanbase and has won numerous awards including 2 brit awards. He is adored by millions and has had 2 million selling number 1 albums aswell as many hit singles inlcuding 4 number 1's!!!
On the 9th of February 2004, 2 years after winning pop idol, will attented the Brits 25 ceremony where he was nominated for 3 awards. The awards will was nominated for were best solo male, best british single(your game) and brits 25 best single in 25 years (leave right now). Will won the best british single category!!!
